Calgary Family Peer Connections would like to acknowledge the land on which we reside, within the traditional territories of Niitsitapi, the Blackfoot Confederacy. This includes the people of Treaty 7; the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai; Îyârhe Nakoda, and the Tsuut’ina Nations. Southern Alberta is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.

We do this acknowledgment in the spirit of reconciliation, to honor the past and show our support for the future, and to recognize that Southern Alberta is still currently responsible to uphold the agreements made under Treaty 7.
